I've been looking at hids and led replacements for my low beams, high beams, and also my fog lights what brand would give the brightest result and shine a farther distance. Also would anyone know what would be the best brand to use that would have the closest color match to the factory running lights?

I went with the SuperNova V.3 LED by Headlightrevolution.com (low beams) They are noticeable brighter than stock with a nice bright white color. It has a very lite blue tint as well. They have a few Tacoma videos on YouTube explaining the LED vs HID. I'll be buying the high beams next payday for sure..

Do they shine further than the stock bulbs?

The LED's do shine a bit further, but it's really not by much. The difference is really how much more I can see at night with the 6000k white light vs the stock yellow halogens. I wouldn't go back to halogens period. HID's are the brightest but I didn't want to hassle with the install. The SuperNova's are plug & play.

Thanks I had hids on my last Tacoma and they had way more range than the halogens I was just curious how the leds compared to that. Only problem was that I didn't have them in projectors so I don't know how different that will affect their range.

Yeah, I've heard that LED's don't do so well in Projectors. The video I posted does show the HID's and LED's in the projector headlight. They state the SuperNova performs well for the projector setup. I was on the fence about buying them until I watched the video... Anyhow, best of luck to ya.

Sure. I'll get a few pics tonight.. might not be the best quality tho. If that doesn't work, I'll try a video instead.

    Look at my post #51.

If you want brighter get the GTR leds but the install is a hassle which I did not want to deal with. Look at the YouTube video from headlightrevolution which compare the GTR vs. Supernova post 47. I'm very happy with the supernova. I see the outline of the light projected out and seen better at night vs stock.

    Good luck
