anyone ever seen or heard of a sub where the back speakers are in 1st gens are? looked back there the other day and theres enough room to stick my arm in, im thinking of putting a 8" woofer in there and fiberglassing inside that air space possibly porting it. im gonna have to measure but i think i have around a cubic foot in there, ill probably go with an L7 to move as much air as possible and it doesnt need a huge enclosure... let me know what you think

That's a good idea. I would be interested in doing this same thing if it's clean and neat. Surely somebody sells an access cab door panel kit which comes with a predrilled hole for a subwoofer.

Let me know if you find anything.

I joined this forum, to ask this exact same question.
I know someone who has a 99, and I was thinking that mounting an 8 inch shallow mount on each side would work. But I haven't actually taken the panels off yet to see how much depth is there and how much room there is to work with.

I'm surprised that I haven't been able to find anyone else has tried this yet.

    Did you ever attempt it?
