Does anyone have experience or info on the High Standard AR15, I have an opportunity to acquire one from a friend who bought as a back up to his duty rifle. Full mag pull furniture, quad rail, Eotech sight.
I havent found antthing negative on them and they are made in TX.
But just wondered if anyone has any firsthand experience.
P.S. only 100 rounds through it, selling due to moving.
Thanks in advance for any help.

He's selling it due to it being a High Standard. I wouldn't buy it. That's not to say that they're bad but I stick to battle tested & proven names. If it's just for a plinker and you've verified it has no issues and shoots consistently plus you can get it cheaper... go for it. Just know that resale will likely suffer since nobody out there is actively seeking stuff from High Standard & who knows how long they'll be around. Too many fly-by-night rifle makers out there today.

High standard has been around since the 30s...I don't know anything about their ARs but I know their pump shotguns were used quite a bit during Vietnam

I picked one up about 2 or 3 years ago for $100 and it was a solid piece of weaponry

It's been sold several times since then that I know of.

That being said, Philips is a well-known manufacturer but their flat panel TVs were garbage. I was a bit flippant with the 'fly-by-night' comment but you know what I meant. I'd rather invest my rifle money into known commodities.

Yeah you can't beat BCM or older Colt AR's. I didn't know high standard made AR parts. never seen them.

I wouldn't waste my money on cheap parts by the best you can afford.
