Personally, I dont think it was me... But today while I was driving on the US60 goin east, I pass Main St, and got flashed.. But the thing was I was only going about 73mph... So I passed the one on Dobson Rd going about 75mph and no flash... Do you guys think this is something I can fight or just pay the ticket..?!? My question is, isnt there a 10mph gap in order for the speed camera to flash..? Anyone with information please help.

^ i think the gap is 11 for now. i dont understand...there are sign and warning and people still get flashed. is it that hard to push your cruise button down 3 or 4 times then when you pass is push it up 3 or 4 times to get back to going faster? me i hardly go above 65 ever so maybe thats why i dont understand but ya oh well, my sort of not really rant over haha

How do you know if it's you getting flashed or the guy next to you? How long does it take to get the ticket in the mail?

Went by one 5 weeks ago and saw the flash, but I was within 2 mph of the speed limit. There was a vehicle next to me, that was passing me.....

I think it was me because once my front tires hit that line, it flashed.. @Oliver, dude, I always go 70mph on the highway...and not once got flashed till today.. So I guess I will have to wait for that ticket if anything..

This is not legal advice but I would ignore the citation if it comes. Sending one in the mail is NOT considered proper service. In other words, the state has the obligation to serve you properly which in most cases means a police officer handing you a ticket. I got a ticket in the mail with a photo of me and I ignored it....never heard another word. 120 days after the ticket is generated, it goes away. Now, they will try to have you sign away your RIGHT to proper service. That is their trick to avoid following the intent of the law.

I know a lot of folks that have ignored tickets and never heard another thing. I REFUSE to allow them to avoid following the law.

They MAY attempt to send a process server (legal) to your home to properly serve the ticket and if you answer the door, you are have been properly served. You will be required to pay the ticket or fight it. It will cost you an extra $25.00 I would rather take the chance..I did and won.

Again, not legal advice but most will just send in the money and be done with it. In my opinion, that is advocating the states reasoning for these annoying cameras...which is PURELY revenue based. Has NOTHING to do with safety.

One more thing I do is hide my face, if they cannot positively ID the driver, they really cannot send a citation. Hide it behind the sun visor, a hand or an Obama mask. I am usually within 5 or so of the speed limit anyway so it is not an issue...but those things piss me off. They cause people to jam on their brakes when they see them...now that is NOT safe.

Google AZ speed cameras. There is some good info...

Screw them and their stupid cameras.

Maricopa County used the Obama money to buy, like, 300 traffic enforcement cameras. <sarcasm>At least they spent it on something to make money so that's good, right?</sarcasm>

Ya they send you a couple, if no response to them they attempt to personally serve you a couple times! After ignoring them and not running into their serving attempts your good!! haha AND they dont have to personally serve YOU, they can ask someone in your household as they get the mail if they know you..they say yes BAM! ticket has just been served. There are so many ways for them to get you.

Also I believe that they might be changing the law regarding identifying the driver! From what I have heard or read or whatever, if they get a photo of the car/truck speeding and the face is unidentifiable, the person who the vehicle is registered to receives the citation, regardless of who was driving.

Moral of it all...dont speed so you dont have to worry about being antisocial for a few months!

I have received 2 for going 11 over. Didn't pay either one of them and was never served. I think they are way behind because nobody pays them. They are trying to change the law so that a first class letter would be considered getting served. They are now also trying to put these tickets on your record and give you points.

Also, in Arizona you are not required to identify the driver if someone other than the the registered owner is driving. In some states you do, but not here.

Here is one of the nice pics they sent me.

i wonder if monkey boy realized that they followed him from his house and watched him put on that mask. kinda ruined the whole "it wasn't me" approach
