Been slow going working on that engine. Between mine and Robert's work schedules, my side yard business, and Robert's three month old, hasn't been much time.

Valve lap today. Some folks might be interested in how we do it. Stick the valve in, attach rubber hose, and stick the other end of the hose in the drill. Easier than doing it by hand, but the rubber hose allows the valve to seat itself properly regardless of the angle the drill is held at.

When are you getting under the hood of that Studebaker?!

 

My neighbor said hopefully soon. He just had the whole thing rewired a week or two ago. Whole new harness. Kinda glad I didn't have to tackle that issue!

 

This is where we stand now on the 97 T4R. Going back together. But realized that they sent us the wrong size rod bearings, so now we are waiting on those. :/

 

First, how did I miss this thread's creation?!?

Second, that Stude belongs in Car Porn because is. At least after that horrific flame job is gone.

 

Created it a while back, but hasn't gotten a whole lot of traffic, not that I care about that.
Neighbor says he wants to have it painted eventually.

 

Gotta say thanks. Ever since Overhaulin' stopped making new episodes, I needed a new fix.

 

We do plenty of overhauling, just the vehicles aren't as pretty and our methods may be classified as backwoods.
