The side that connects to the snorkel is a little more slender than most couplers so you may be able to cut the one it comes with

Any chance you have a picture of the connection on the snork side?

No, it helps. I really don't like the design of that hose and how it bends, it's too narrow. I'm thinking of what I could use to keep it from collapsing. Looks like I could replace with a piece of oval tube and a nice silicone 90 degree bend from 2.5 to 3.25

I noticed that as soon as I put it up and had everything all together. It got even narrower then, but I was already too far into the project to come up with something.

My local metal guys sell this in all shapes and sizes, and I can get stainless, aluminum, or mild steel. Then all I need is the right size coupler.

Ooh nice! Yeah it gets pretty narrow...but I have no issues. Someday I might get fancy and redo it with custom parts but until then I have no gripe with it.

By far the cheapest good looking snorkel haha.

BTW anybody have a pre filter on the snorkel? Or am I just hearing things from stupid people??

Plenty of people run pre filters on snorkels. For the desert, it's really good. If I order this snorkel, I'd end up ordering a pre filter along with it.

Right now, I'm going back and worth between this snorkel, or the Safari Snorkel. @Fernando said a while ago he was thinking about getting rid of his snorkel. If he does, I want it, but if not, I'll probably end up ordering this one.

You perhaps have a link for it??

I mean for the price of the safari I'd get this, it'll save $200 and it works perfectly fine. Only thing is you don't have a "name" brand snorkel but f that!

If the ram intake is 3 inches, then this should fit.

It really depends on if @Fernando gets rid of his snorkel, and how much he wants. If it's more than what I'd spend on the snorkel and pre filter combined, then I'd pass.

I got the smaller of two Donaldsons off Amazon. Needed an adapter to fit the snorkel. I run the "stock" ram scoop on the street and switch it to Donaldson in dusty conditions...

So, I have a 96 Tacoma. 3.4L. 4WD. I haven't seen any posts on this thread of a Tacoma prior to the 97 body change with the hilux snorkel. The fenders are the same and air box etc should be on the same spots (e.g 96 vs 98) , correct? I just want to make sure that it would fit properly before buying it.
