It'll be close, but with some trimming it should be fine

I can't say for sure, but I think it would fit fine if you trimmed the flare.

    FINALLY!!!!!!11!!

Got two of the Snorkel hats from China today. one is a 3" ID and the other is 3.5" ID. I'm guessing the 3.5" is whats going to fit our snorkels. I have one more 3.5" still in transit.

So in all seriousness how deep of water can a tacoma real go with a snorkel? And without a snorkel?
The ECU is at the bottom of the passenger foot wall. Anyone have any videos or photos in action or is it just for looks?
    Just curious

That appears to be a carburetored, and likely with points, Russian ‘Jeep’. All you’d have to do to something like that is seal a few things up.

I knew a guy back in high school with an old Jeep Scrambler that could do that sort of water crossing.

With these 1st Gen Tacos, or any modern ECU vehicle, it’s a lot more complicated than that. But if you seal up the cabin well you should be OK until it starts to float around. But there’s a lot of entry points to the cabin.

I didn’t get a snorkel in order to turn my truck into a submarine. It’s just a way to get cleaner air to the engine when off road and protect against the accidental “oops” when you drive into a puddle that’s deeper than you thought. Just so happens that it looks cool and can be had for a bargain compared to the name brand option.

@Atlastrekker it's holding up good. I think it looks better than the scoop one. More OEM landcruiser-ish.
