    pretty funny fail here
went to add lock to my center console (from cheap DIY thread)

and the nut was corroded or crossed on the cylinder, shattered trying to remove it...
ill get this done though. put the plug back in with painters tape on other side for now haha

got my rock sliders scuffed, painted with 2 cans per each side, and drivers side installed
(fun with all the brake lines that have to be unclipped, but got it done)
i used cut up t shirt patches zip tied to areas where brake line clips broke and where theyre near
the sliders bolts. going to do passenger side later, the easier side

    RCI bolt on

well that escalated quickly...after giving thought to future tariff pricing and whatnot, i ended up catching sales on all this, big 20% off spring sales and tax season sales, grabbed trail gear bumpers, outlaw 2 wheels 17x8 et0, 255 75 17 mastercraft courser AT 115t (i love mastercraft tires going back 15 years to my jeep TJ days)
engo 10k winch, por15 everything, old man emu full kit, heavy springs in front, sport stiff shocks, medium dakar rear (i shaved with angle grinder the second leafs that make contact with mounts, before painting them) the photo of the kit is before paint lol

the full armor on 90k miles trd offroad suspension is surprisingly not bad at all, i might even take my time before wheels and lift

anyone have suggestions on putting these bushings in? lube and hammer? press in vice with 2x4? funny i am accountant for marine hydraulics fabrication shop, we have presses, welding galore...and my coworker helping me install eventually for $600 (hes a master mechanic) figured id play around with the bushings a bit before he just presses them in 10 mins with our 35k press

I typically use some antisieze on the outside and just put them in with a soft deadblow. Takes all of 2 minutes

thanks for the tip - ill do that, gonna be a rainy weekend for us ;)

i saw theres small and big bushings in bag, hope its intuitive when i get into it

coworker who will do install asked me if kit came with new hanger or shackle hardware and i told him i think so, but i dont think it did now that it arrived...at the same time we have every variation of hardware up to 7+ inch 1" width at work so i figure we can sort that out if need be

damn i wonder if i am one of the last active build threads for a second gen haha

Small and big should be intuitive. I dont know about those. Ive been working with chevy springs alot recently.

So lightly antisieze the OD of the bushing then use a polyurethane safe grease to put the metal sleeve in. Dont be shy with the grease. I use Mobil XHP 222 in a grease gun or superlube for not.

Hardware I havent had leaf spring hardware break ever so you should be able to reuse what you took off.

got my isolator in finally, black rubber (rough country brand go figure, it was the low profile style to help fit my hook behind license plate)

going to tension her at work after work today, we have equipment with shackles and the room to do it

after a lot of research i want to run this glavanized hook, not a flatlink or thimble...
