kept hitting the rocker panel hopping in and out of the truck. Had some non skid leftover from the door sill to lay down over there. Pelfrey-life problems.

I'm trying to remain optimistic regarding the hood repair but no apparent fix so far. I don't have much confidence in the original manufactures qc and it doesn't seem like the repair is going well. Service department said they're asking for assistance from Toyota usa.

Got my truck back for the second time after hood repair. Hoping this will be it. They did the the trans update. No fluid change.

Got straight to work on installing the shok dampening mats. Didn't take picture because it looked pretty bad. Was rushing. Got the back wall and under the rear seat area done. Might call in the reinforcements for the rest of the truck.

Got the shok mat installed. Decided to go all the way and install closed cell foam and mass loaded vinyl. All ordered and delivered or on the way.

Ordered energy suspension body mounts. Nothing out for 2016 but figured i would give the 2nd gen kit a try. Unbolted the body and jacked it up. Took out the rear bushing and ... not the same. Distance between bolts is different so going to have new plates made. Took dimensions and put everything back. Damn.20160820_181441.jpg

Edit: need to move bolt holes in 1/16"-1/8" in. Maybe slot be better.

Got bored and was looking through the project pile and found the bussmann rtmr mount. Found a place for it tucked up and out of the way but still accessible. Supposed to be weatherproof right?

Knocked some stuff off the list this weekend.

Cab mount chop courtesy of Hackmans garage.

    Hard wired my dash cam

And installed some switches. They're not hooked up to anything yet but I'm just excited they light up. Tried to set up my puddle lights but after half a day trying to find the right wire i gave up.
    edit: add daytime pics

Swapped out cab mount and rad support bushings. Pain in the ass. This was my second try. When i first tried i found out that the 2nd gen body mount bushings are different. The two bolt holes to the frame are spaced further apart on on the 3rd gens. Had some new brackets made and tried again last night. I measured wrong and i had to bring the bolt holes in about 1/16". Once that was taken care of, everything bolted up pretty easy. Nothing wrong with the original bushings. Went and swapped out the front rad mount ones and and those were actually pretty chewed up. Passenger side was almost cut all the way through and drivers side was creased but not tear.

Not one of my most fun mods.

Total chaos. Bed support bracket or something. Not cheap but considering it comes powdercoated it's not a bad deal. $200.

Well, not bad after figuring out what you get. Shipping was $55 and it comes powdercoated.

Yeah. I considered that too. Maybe you could get away with not drilling the holes. The top hole uses a factory hole and the two bottom ones use factory holes. I figured it's nothing a little fluid film can't fix.

I brushed painted the cut edges of the holes before bolting everything together.

Today's project. Replace bushings on the shackles. Putting energy poly bushings. Drilled and tapped for zerks fitting. Not sure if it's really needed or if it'll do anything but it's been an idea in the back of my head for a while.
