I just bought my Double Cab TRD Tacoma about two months ago and love it so far. However, when on the highway I have noticed (when the radio is off or low) a hissing noise coming from my driver side door on the top left corner. All the door seals seem in good condition. Has anyone else had a problem with this. If so, how have you be able to fix this minor but annoying problem?

I don't know if this has anything 2 do w/your problem, but what I have noticed w/my 2005 taco is that when I get out of my truck w/the a/c or heat on high, I can actually feel a breeze of air coming out of my locks where my key goes!...What poor quality on toyota's part. I tried it on my 2000 prerunner, and not 1 ounce of air!....Maybe its the reverse effect when you drive? Is their a constant wind blowing @ the time?

there is a problem w/ some windshields making noise at certain speeds. the basic fix for that one is to have them reseal the windshield. i havent heard anything about the doors. u can also feel/hear air coming out of the rear glass weep holes

I had a friend who had a similar problem. Turns out he was missing a seal between the r.v. mirror and the door.

    Hi,

And I thought I was crazy thinking that it was all in my head. I have a 07 TRD Access cab and yes, when I start the truck in the morning when it is bit cold outside, I do can sense the air leaking out of the keyhole. It is a lot of air. Did you get this resolved? If so, how?

I saw a post by someone about missing gasket that did the fix. Where was the gasket missing from? Any pics ???

    Do you have window visors?

Yes I do have window visors, but what does it have to do with air leaking from a keyhole while the truck is STNADING still and idling ???? :argue:

Finally it is winter on deep south Texas and I have notice this sound from my drivers side at startup I related this sound as the one that it is like an incorrectly installed radio (but when the radio is on), in this case it is totally off.

An there is a TSB for all tacoma 2005+ for a windshield "repair" (remove the rubber weatherstrip) to avoid the windnoise not this hiss sound. I do have also a DC 08 Tacoma with no window visors.

    regards.
