I've got one for my 2016 OR. It works fine with the tailgate key. I also have their
    trailer locks.

The newer 3rd gens use the baby key on the fob for the tailgate?

I have this one as well. Works great! It is actually from my f150 so I keep an f150 key in my door compartment

    beat all to hell
I just ran headlong into this problem yesterday. I measured the outside width of the factory receivers on my 2008 and 2014 and they're both 3". I've found receiver locks with pin spans of 2⅞" or 3½" but can't for the life of me find one that's just 3". That extra half inch gap for prybars and saw blades displeases me.

Has anyone found a receiver lock that's a proper fit without having to insert washers/spacers?

Update: Finally got through on Connor's phone number. The only 3" lock they offer is exclusively through Amazon so I can't order identically keyed multiples. Couldn't find it on Amazon anyway.

'Nother update: Tyger Automotive offers a locking hitch pin with a 3" pin span, but does not offer identically-keyed multiples. I want at least 5, so I'm still looking.

Evening update: Like many manufacturers unfortunately, Curt doesn't offer info regarding pin span. First call to customer service got me a part number of a lock for 3" receivers (ie much longer pin span than 3"), and the second call got me a befuddled-sounding voice and many long silences finally ending with "I'm sorry, um, I don't know, um, I can't find that information".

To clarify further, I'm looking for a barbell lock, not the bent pin style or the perpendicular locks. A properly designed barbell lock is more difficult to hook with a prybar (unless it's a sloppy fit), and also more difficult to stop from rolling around under a saw blade (again, unless it's a sloppy fit), because each end can spin independently from the other.

Never imagined this one thing would be so difficult to find! ...or that so many receiver lock manufacturers could be so clueless about their own products.

Good info guys, thanks. This helped a lot as I just ran into the same issue as everyone else.
