I would consider purchasing it, if it didn't have a logo on it. Just a personal preference. With a logo, I wouldn't be interested.

As you can see in the pictures, they are both taken from almost straight on and above. At other angles it is barely visible and the whole end cap just looks black.

Here is a picture that shows what i mean:

Gotcha. That looks much more understated than I thought. Thanks for pics!

I saw a commercial for one of these last week. Neat idea.

On the down side... what happens when you are using your hitch. The one time you may need it your screwed.

I have my spare entry key in a magnetic hide a key under my frame to access my truck. Then I have my key fob wrapped in foil then a cloth and hidden inside.

Good point, I’ve talked to a lot of people about the magnetic ones. Seems like everyone has heard of them, and a bunch of them have fallen off. I don’t know if I would trust a $200+ key fob to a little magnet. The aluminum also blocks the fob signal so the comfort access can’t be used on the key.

    Thanks for the feedback!

I bought an extra key fob for $250. I have used the magnetic hideaways since 1978 and never lost one. Az summers, Breckinridge winters, wheeling, mud...

I keep the hard key in the case and the fob inside as I indicated.

Having said that most people don’t use their hitch.

Do you stick the magnet directly to the frame? I bet most people just stick it to the inner fender or something.

Most fender wells these days are plastic. On my 18,08,& 95 Tacoma’s there are some nice metal channel to secure it on. Same with my wife’s RAV4 and Accords. I’ve had them on my Jeeps, Nissans and Corvette as well.

Nah, just bust his window... the fob is in the vehicle console/glovebox wrapped in foil and a towel... no need for that key unless you want to open the tailgate later. :D

I’m not sure if some are different. On all other Tacoma’s up until 2016 they all fit flush. On GMCs and other brands they are all flush or about a 1/16” recessed. On my 2016 however it sticks out about 3/16”. We have tried to pry the end cap out but it is still very secure. If that is a big concern for people then we may do a run of 3rd Gen specific vaults. Like I said though, I have yet to find another truck or Jeep that it isn’t flush on.

It's a solid product guys... I've only had it for a couple of weeks, used it twice already and had a friend get one as well.

As mentioned, it does stick out just a tad on the Tacoma but again, it's solid.

    Pic for reference:

Keeping an eye on this. I think it's an pretty cool idea but as others have mentioned I would prefer one without any logo at all. If I were to buy this I would plan to sand and repaint the end cap.

It would also be nice to see one where it fits flush in a Tacoma.

I’ll pick up some black dye and see if I can dye it then bake them. The logo would still be there but it would be entirely black. Would that be something you guys would be interested in? Kind of a “black edition”. That way it won’t effect the anodizing either.

Don’t let these guys give you crap. They could just use the rest of that half empty can of PlastiDip they have hanging around if it was that big a deal. Great product idea and execution. I just personally don’t have a need for it. But I can certainly understand those that do! GLWS and welcome to TW!

Nice product that looks professionally executed, I don't think the LOGO is a deal breaker at all. We have so many aftermarket parts we bolt on with product logos, who cares?

I hate ANY car/truck that has aftermarket parts that look like an afterthought. Meaning, should look OEM yet slightly better, not like so many jokes we see rolling around.
