I have a 2009 double cab. I am living in Wyoming and to say the least they have a lot of deer up here and I drive a lot. I am wanting to know what people opinions are on how well the arb bumper would hold up in the event of hitting a deer at highway speeds, roughly 70 to 80 mph. I would like to be able to drive away from hitting a deer with minimal damage. I do not want to hit a deer but it seems if I live here long enough I will eventually. If you have opinions on this let me know or if you have actually hit a large animal with an ARB bumper let me know how it worked out. Thanks

I have seen pics of the damage. The ARB holds up very well to an animal hit. The burliest, best coverage front bumper out there IMO

The only damage would be cracked fog light lenses. Everything else doesn't even blink.

Some one shoot a deer and prop it up on a deserted road and blast it with your truck at highway speed, film it and post it on this thread. :D

I've heard good things about the ARB and it being able to with stand impacts. It is made in Australia and design for taking impacts.

google "arb bumper deer" look at images, there are a few with stories if you click on em.

pretty sure that the bumper might just need to be polished after you smoke a deer cow or whatever, pretty tough stuff the arb is

To be fair, the bumper did bend after hitting the tree, though the rest of the FJ appears undamaged.

It's an 89 Toyota Pickup. I got some stuff done to it.. FJ axles going under it soon.
hitting deer with arb bumper kills the deer and you keep driving.

IMO ARB will offer the best protection for hitting a deer out of any bumper.

With an ARB bumper, i would be more worried about it getting thrown up and into the wind shield, wouldnt worry about the bumper

An ARB wouldn't force an animal up into the windshield any more than stock or any other aftermarket bumper...:notsure:
