Holloman AFB Tacomas??? who all is here??

for anyone off during the week a couple of us are going out wed. and then Sunday next week, we are going back out to the same spot to find more challenging trails!! if you want to go just shoot me an e-mail and let me know, it is still looking like it is going to be at 1000 at the 76 truck stop again

 

as soon as my tax return gets here, im ordering new wheels, tires, and 5100's so with the new tires i might actually be able to keep up in the snow with you guys lol.

ill probably not go this time, but if i have my tires by the next time you all go, i am deff down for it!

 

if you put mud tires on a golf cart it's still a golf cart

you goin trail hunting or to a trail you already know?

 

the same place we have been going the past couple times, i was talking to one of the guys i work with and their is more trails if we go a different way so we are going to try that out also

 

ok. how much snow and ice is still up there?

 

the last time we went up there we were in 4 wheel drive about 95% of the time!! i havent been up their for a couple weeks but i know there is still going to be some left

 

and people were still getting stuck in 4 wheel drive

 

even if there is no snow and ice left it's gonna be all mud from it melting

 

I can deal with the mud and snow, its only ice that is the problem

 

no you can't. we were all in 4 wheel drive and we all got stuck. you could have the most aggresive mud tires in the world and you would get stuck. you're front tires don't have power hence 2 wheel drive

 

i obviously cant handle a 3 foot deep mudhole, but with enough momentum and a skilled driver (im not saying im skilled) you can get through almost anything. just curious on the conditions cause i love offroading but i dont want to slow everybody down either. if its that bad, i will pass this time.last summer there were a lot of places i went in ruidoso, mescalero, and mayhill and had no problems, but that was during dry season. there were a few real good mudholes that i made it through no prob. a 4wd jeep got stuck and i plowed right around him so i guess it just depends on the area and the season

Hey guys im kinda new to new mexico and i know your down at holloman which is a couple hours south of me up here in Clovis at cannon AFB but I've been tryin to find some spots to do a lil wheelin. So if u guys know of anywhere good thats somewhat close to me fill me in cuz I got the itch to get out and wheel.. Thanks guys

 

what do you drive. maybe you've seen my truck?

 

I miss Holloman, there used to be a guy there that had a first gen with a bedcage and no fenders, i wonder if hes still around. that was about 4 years ago tho.
