    Did you see the first thread? Out there trying is great, as long as he doesn't think about coming up here with that abortion of a "kit". It'd be fine if he wasn't DD'ing the truck and it was strictly off- road use. Not only is he putting his life at risk, think of everyone else on the road.

    I was going to say gorilla glue would hold better then those welds, but my first welds weren't pretty either :eek:

    I'm all for people getting off their ass and building stuff, but when I see shit like this, it infuriates me. And to know there are unsuspecting people waiting to be turned into targets because of a DB's attempt at suspension work is too much. And, my first welds were nasty too, but they were done on scrap that wasn't holding the front end of a truck together. They weren't holding anything together really.

    Did you actually get any additional travel out of the kit (ball joint uppers?). Performance wise a nice set of Coilovers valved just right would have done better.

    why dont you just start new instead of extending "stock" lowers and uppers?

    Yep, first attept was welding scrap together, I was 15. After doing this a few times I attempted to make a small work cart, darn thing was a total piece of shit, unlevel as fuck and welds were all boogered up.

    He simply extended the stockarms I assume not changing anything. Would they not be "a" limiting factor? Hey but what the F do I know.

    your right, he didnt change the geometry, which he should have. because you cant just extend stock geometry.
    they will be a limiting factor, but you will only gain very little by going from ball joints to unibals (horizontal)
    when i talked to camburg, they mostly went to uniballs because of strength, not travel numbers.

    but yes his BJs im sure are a major limiting factor since he didnt change the geometry at all

    :confused::confused:

    My old lady tells me my balls are the limiting factor for full travel. This may be the case but they also serve as bump stops :boink:

    their old kit has ball joint uppers and lowers, so i was going to convert them, so i called them and talked to them about it, and thats what they told me.

    HAHAHA

    you ought to install some aftermarket bumps on that bad boy:eek:

    lol yes i know, some aftermarket bumps, or possibly a limit strap from ass to balls could fix your issue.
    :cool:
