Thinking about making my own light bar. Since I do not have a welding machine or most special tools I was thinking of making one from EMT or galvanized pipes.
    Anyone do this before?

Thought about it but never tried it. Go for it and see what you can do.

Back to square one after the 2001. So...
Check out the aluminum stock they have. Easy to cut, drill, bolt, paint. Angles and tubes...

Oh, and if you have a Lowe's nearby, I think they might have a slightly better variety of stock.

Actually there is a Lowe's right dead across the street from my house!
I have a Westin now. Had it for 6 years and it looks great. I have a pair of KC 6" lights on them and love it, but now that I have moved to California the prerunner look has bitten. Time to hack the bumper and find a sheet of aluminum for a skid plate!

    I'll let you know!

I can always get a tube bender and stuff like that. I see they have 1-1/4 and 1-1/2 and even 2" just need to go see them to see what size would look good.

Walked around Lowes today. I think the 1-1/4" EMT looks about right to me. They also carry metal plates in varies sizes.
Now, just need to sketch out a plan...
