How many types of rear view mirrors are on the taco?
I have the homelink version with 3 HOME buttons and never use it, no need for. Are there any other slimmer types? Would like to keep the compass and auto dimming features but without the fat bottom.

Fat bottomed mirrors, you make the taco' world go 'round

There is an auto dimming one with compass that would be plug and play. I'm sure someone on here would trade.

    Looks like this...

I have whatever one came with my truck in a box in my garage. I can look when I get home what it looks like. I replaced it with one that had buttons for the garage doors cause the one it came with didn't. It may look like the picture above.

Here is my stock mirror off of a '16 TRD OR. I replaced my mirror with a HomeLink model I bought off of EBay.

There are two versions of the HL mirror. The newest has indicator lights to tell you if the garage door is up or down, if your opener support it. I think there is a BST listing about that?

    Lights for days! Sasquachified!
As noted there are 4, I believe. 1 with opener buttons and indicators, 1 with opener buttons and no indicators, 1 that is just a compass with the auto-dim, 1 that is basic.

That said, if you'd want to swap, I have the 1 with no opener buttons/compass that I'd love to swap for one with openers.

Is the mirror (glass area) the same or the non-homelink mirror has a smaller glass area?

I would trade you as well. Mine is the auto dimming with no home link.
