Homemade Shift Kit

    Fat Bobs 2.75 lift and level with short AAL, 16x8 Level 8 Guardian Wheels, 245/75R16 Toyo Open Country ATII, custom trans shift kit(home made), Trans temp. and Vac gauge, URD fuel pump upgrade(going back to stock soon).
    Well I got down to it and my trans.(A340E) shifts too slow for my liking. Did over 2 months of research and I found the data I was looking for, a homemade shift kit. I finally pulled the trigger on this mod. I have shims being made for the C-2 and B-2 accumulators in the trans. The accumulator in the A340E acts like a shock absorber slowing the shifts. The drawbacks to the slow shifts besides time, is increased clutch pack wear when under a hard pull or heavy footing. The only upside to having a cushioned shift is passenger comfort. The improvements should be impressive but I will not know until next week since I will be in the shop until then.

    I will post pictures of the shims when I get them and I will be taking pictures of the build up.

    Oh yea it will be. I keep wishing it was next week already. I want to test this set up out.

    Ok I got my shims but now I am waiting for better weather. Hopefully tomorrow will yield a better day to put them in and sorry guys no decent pics I will have to use my cell phone.
