So if anybody is interested, I make skid plates for 2nd Gen Tacomas. I'm based in SETX near Beaumont and am just starting to make skids as more of a business function than a hobby. With that being said, I make my skid plates in my garage without the use CNC machines or other high end tools; so the skids them selves don't look like they came from a big time vendor. But that's ok, rocks don't discriminate against looks. Because of this though I can charge less for the skids themselves, I'm not out to make a living on these, just to fuel a hobby and provide some needed protection to other Texans at a lower cost.

A couple of guys on here are running skids that I have made and can attest to them working. If anyone is interested just PM me and we can talk.

Since I'm just starting off I'll probably keep a maximum on the number of orders at anytime as to keep lead times down. I would like to do this in groups as it allows me to save on the overall cost of the material and the bending, which let me pass those savings along to you. Here are a few pics of my skids when I first started making them, I have now found a fabricator to do the bends for me and make them look a little cleaner.

    Prices are as follows:

    IFS- $200
    Mid- $125
    TCase- $225

    Whole set for $500.

All skids are made out of 3/16th steel; they come bare steel.
    All mounting hardware is included.

Payment Terms: A 50% down payment is needed up front on all goods, with the remaining balance needed once the finished goods are ready to be delivered. I accept cash when applicable and Paypal. If for any reason you have to cancel the order then we can work out a refund on payments.

Please send me a message when you decide to order and we can discuss the details at that point.

    Thanks for looking!

And I am not sure if you have to clear this through the Mods as well to maybe get Vendor status.

Just to be on the safe side I guess since you are trying to sell a modification item.

I'd give myself a month to do it, seems like a long time but for the bending I'm at the hands of the metal fan shop and I'm not sure their schedule right now. I don't want to promise a time and not meet it.

    Thanks,
    Chris

I'll call the metal shop and see what a rough time line might be from their end. I can do my part in a couple of days.

I vouch for @Tacodriver08, I have his skids and are well built and sturdy AF. Have been tested and beaten in Barnwell, this is the only pic I have but can take more.. Keep up the work Chris..

Any shots from the front? Are they compatible with the stock TRD tow hook, tie down, and a futomo valve?
