Let me get into the install before saying I don't need mine, but I do have one that I more than likely will not be using.

So I think I have a solution for the hand throttle. There will be a momentary switch on the knob of the hand throttle, such that when grabbed the switch will depress. Activating that momentary switch will deactivate the throttle pedal giving you full control in your hand. Releasing the momentary switch instantly transfers control back to the foot pedal. There will be no chance of signal contamination/overlap as the two signals will be on separate channels.

Now I need to order some parts and build a test bed for this thing. I'm not going to build it and plug it into the truck without testing first. I don't feel like buying a new ECU.

 

Normal Stick Shift = Viper security system
Homer's Set up = Fort Knox security system

So the SC trip never happened & I went to Rausch again with some local folks. Ant rearranged Yellowjacket Ridge with a quart or so of gear oil and I somehow messed up my rear diff.
Things currently broke:
1. Rear Diff (not sure - could be broken ARB locker)
2. about 2 gallons of muddy water in drivers side floor pan
3. LED taillight blown.
4. Cruise control works only when it wants to which is hardly ever.
5. No Subwoofer. something wrong with my ancient amp perhaps.
6. inspection due this month.

Truck currently sitting in shame on the side lawn.

What's the rear diff doing

 

Not functioning. Don't know. No grinding no noise at all. Mystery.

 

That sucks Craig .......Broken axle shafts would make noise, at least I would assume. I don't see how a broken arb would completely open the diff. Jack the rear end up and put it in drive see what happens....

 

Yup. Jack stands and spin the wheels.

 

Think he said he put it in gear and the rear driveshaft just spun and neither wheel spun. Also his locker wasn't working right all day on the trails either seems like it was on its way out.

 

Stripped all the teeth off of the pinion gear? Doubtful. Going to have to eventually pull the third member to truly be certain of any damage.

 

It would have had to be a narly bust. But there was no loud bangs or anything. Almost makes me feel like there was something that went wrong in the carrier but I don't know what would break to cause no wheels to spin
