Honda Accord Diesel CONFIRMED for 2009!!!

I have complained to Honda's American Corporate offices for the past 4 years that the European 2.2L i-CTDi engine needs to be offered in the United States. well...

Honda is bringing the Accord 2.2L i-CTDi (Turbo Diesel Engine) to the United States!!!

"At the recent Tokyo Motor Show, Honda let it be known that its 2.2L i-CTDi will in fact be the diesel mill for the Accord by 2009. "

"The i-CTDi scores a 30 percent fuel economy performance over the gasoline version, with 39 city and 63 highway mpg."

This Accord will have lower emissions than a 2006 4 cylinder gasoline Accord AND it will get over 39 MPG!!! I will be saving my pennies to get this engine which has been proving itself over and over in Europe and Western Asia since 2003. The emissions are on this engine will be controled by NOx Catalytic Converter to meet the United States Tier 2 Bin 5 emissions regulations that take effect in 2010. This means that it will be 50 state legal for emissions!

Finally the car that I have wanted! (My first car was a Honda Accord. I have owned 3 - an 88, 89, and an 01 that I still "have")

Toyota, if you're listening - GET ON THE BALL!!! GIVE ME A TACOMA D4D!!!
