Read the ingredients and if it lists sodium hydroxide DO NOT USE! It is commonly known as lye and it also works to dissolve aluminum oxides and the base aluminum as well. Anodizing is an intentional oxidizing of aluminum that often includes dyes for colour but is done to create a harder surface. So any chemical that includes sodium hydroxide will depending on concentration dissolve the anodizing or at least has the potential to stain it by softening the surface and leaching the dye out.

That’s the problem........ingredients aren’t listed!! :angrygirl: It does say it is safe for all aluminum, but not anodized specifically. So I was hoping someone here knew from experience.....

S100 has been around forever for motorcycles. Without any contradictory information I would say it is totally safe. Simply by saying it is safe for aluminum I would say it is safe for anodized aluminum since it is the harder oxidized compound.

I agree, it's been around since Moses won the first MX championship and I've never heard of a problem with it.

Just found this on their website. They say to contact them with any questions and they will reply within 24 hours. This may be the best way to find definitive proof.

I used S100 on my 929RR, it got my bike to damn near brand new cleanliness level.
Good stuff no staining or discoloration here, I have chrome wheels and a polished frame as well.
** To answer your question on the anodized aluminum, my brake rotors are anodized gold and no harm or discoloration was done by the S100.
