Hood question

I have a 07' DC trd, towing pkg, 4x4, 6 cyl.

I like the toyota's with the non-functioning hood scoop.
Question #1 which models do they come stock on.
Question #2 will one of these hoods fit my truck?

 

trd sport and yes they will fit any 05 and newer taco

 

anyone know where to pick one of these up?

 

they are expensive! especially since you have to get it color matched

check on ebay... thats where I got mine... (in the shop being painted)

also certifit has them if you have a local one near by (they are the cheapest)

 

bought mine at certifit like 100.00 rats. the most expensive thing was the hoodscoop internals had to buy that at toyota delaler

 

Or, if you're lucky enough to find someone who will swap hoods with you.

Can you buy the whole hood from the dealer painted?

 

That is good to know. I was wondering the same question myself. I would like to get one for my Truck, but, I'm not going to pay my left nutt for one.

I would gladly swap hoods!

Here is the catch, it needs to be magnetic gray and you drive to Milwaukee to make the swap. I had an ad up in the buy/sell/trade about a year ago.

 

How much does one go for?

I just did this... its in the paint boothe now... I'm picking it up monday.

total with paint cost me about $600

 

lol you guys are nutz, I'd try to trade mine away so quick if I had a sport. I hate that non functional piece of rotting kit

Ahhh, that's a little too spendy for something that is purely cosmetic.. I like the look, but, I would much rather throw $600 at some Doug Thorley Headers than a hood that looks cool. I'll keep the one I have.

 

Has anyone bought one of those carbon-fiber hoods? Is the fit as good as stock? You can't body work it like a fiberglass hood.
