I have always wandered these three things, maybe someone can help me out. Im not making fun...yet, i just want to know if there is a logical reason. If there is no reason, then yes, i might make fun, but ill give it a chance first.

    1. why do ricers put those spacers in the hood so that it sits like this...

    hood_bushings_df49a1ebc6b6aa780cda342619017756b3fe89ac.jpg

    2. why do people , mainly from hawaii, lift their truck super high and then put small wide tires on it.

apparently used to clear big engine swaps and increase cooling of engine compartment but mostly used by ricers to look cool

I think you could set a 2x4 back up by the hinges of your hood then slam it shut on the 2x4 and then open and remove the 2x4. You would get the same effect

some crappy dealer installed lift , 285's, trail pin striping, and a grill full of lights.
the hood spacers are for a h series(accord 4cyl) to fit in a civic with a b series(civic dohc 4 cyl) transmission... this will give you a bigger motor with more torque and a transmission with shorter gearing. it's ugly but function > looks

Thats probably why I've never seen or heard of them before. Because the part of SD, where I'm from, they don't have money for it. They just ruin the ride by lowering it and put body kits on that make it so the can't go over speed bumps.
