hood spacers are new for me.

Hawaii style trucks are beyond gay, never understood the point.

Ill get back to you with the baby question, I've got to go ask my parents.

Because i am 20 years old, married, have a house, my truck is paid off and i get 22 miles per gallon. It was the most dependable truck i could buy for the money i had, and i refuse to drive something i can't pay cash for.

    thanks for asking

still no answers on the hawaii trucks, im almost ready to conclude that there is no point to those at all, at least the hood spacers are to account for something (no matter how silly)

I think the tires are for flotation. If a volcano starts to erupt they can just drive to another island. That or maybe they are stuck in the 80's and Bigfoot is still cool

why do you keep asking questions about the lift in hawaii when there are countless threads on it... ask yourself why???

yes there are countless threads, but none of them directly answer the question from multiple points of view, or even 1 point of view that i can find. Obviously you have no point of view on the subject.

Why do i think they have them? I think there is no reason what so ever, and it is just a regional fad that has no practical use. Should i start a thread saying that...NO...that would be very rude. Instead i asked for input for other peoples perspectives.

    thanks for asking

edit: i just saw that you are from Hawaii, and you seem to be getting defensive about my question, yet you offer no reasonable explanation; this further proves my original thought, although i am open to your explanation provided that you have one.

So, like i said I think there is no reason what so ever, and it is just a regional fad that has no practical use. No problem with that, i just didn't know if there was some hidden meaning.

Its no worse that people who run mud tires on the street (only lol)

    same shit as everyone else
The hood spacers are to clear a bigger engine under a stock hood. For example. If I put a K20 in a CRX I'll need to raise the hood up to clear it. Its a really tall engine to allow for the extra stroke room. As where the original D series engines were a little shorter. Now I've seen idiots put the spacers on just for looks but the real purpose is to allow the hood to be closed properly to pass things like recon inspection ect... As for the Hawaii lift ya gotta get it right. Its all about the three inch lift and body spacers then get 16 inch wide 31 inch super swampers and mall crawl the shit outta it. And you ain't cool unless those tires are completely bald!

Awww did someone get their feelings hurt because someone asked an equally ridiculous question?

The answer is...... because they can and they want to. do you believe everything should have a PRACTICAL use? then why paint your car? why do tons of shit to a vehicle that doesnt equate to solid practical use? BECAUSE OWNERSHIP ALLOWS PEOPLE TO DO WHAT THEY WANT TO DO.

So next time, don't ask a question with a term that is based on race (regardless if its a white guys car or not the term is still aimed at the asian population.)

What you need to do is ask the people that have it done. DOn't be one of those kids that runs to the internet & makes fun or talks shit about people. Ask a person in real life.

Well I can't speak for the OP but I've personally never seen either the hood spacers, or a ridiculous Hawaii truck in real life.

Are you high? Your response to the quote makes no sense

As for what I think your trying to say. We are in real life. As far as I knew you and everyone else here are real people. He is asking. We understand you are allowed to do what you want. The question is WHY you would want to do it

You would paint your car to keep rust from eating it. Most people do not do TONS of shit to their vehicle that do nothing. As for the "rice" term it has been used for years in both automobiles and motorcycles to describe imports. Get over it

Also as the OP said if you are doing it for looks that is fine. All you have to say is I did it for looks, or style as someone else said earlier

Those are actually functional. Well sometimes. The spacers can reduce under hood temperatures if you are running a turbo charger on your vehicle. I ran those on my 04 2.5L Sentra with T3/T4 Turbonetics turbo. It helped with cooling the engine. Mind that EGT on turbo cars get up to 1200F+...

Yes if the spacers are on stock Honda with stock motor, they are considered RICE.
