For those that are looking to change the seek function to presets or the other way: This should be a headunit setting. I just installed a Kenwood DMX1037S and there were seek options on the source screen. Pioneer headunits I've installed previously were the same. For the Kenwood it was a matter of cycling through the seek functions (Auto1, Auto2, Man, etc). If anyone has any more questions while this is all fresh in my head go ahead and post.

That's it. I just tested my radio. I have been hunting for that for a while now and completely overlooked it in the manual.

Now...does anyone get texts, email, FB messages, etc come through their Kenwood radio without being connected to AA?

Nope. Don't think it's possible unless you're in Android Auto or Carplay.

I've arrived here. In the second pic you can see the connections to the truck, but what I take to be the SWC harness is not connected to anything. I don't think I need to use the 20 pin, but what do I tie the three OEM wires into?

The stereo works, reverse trigger works, SWCs do not.

Did your RR not come with two plug options? I believe it should have a 20-pin and a 28-pin plug, and only one of them fits, and you toss the other one

This is the other I have, but it won't connect to the truck. The second pic is the leftover wiring.

Do I need to pull wires from the T01 harness and solder em in?

My deck does not have a connection for that. I'll get a flagship deck when I can. DMX47S Kenwood.

    Oh, duh!

Make sure when you flashed the module, you selected the option for wired input and not serial data.
    And check these tips

Are you using the cable with the blue connector, and the blue/yellow wire spliced onto the matching wire on the radio

Yep. I'm about to reprogram the unit and ensure "wired input" is selected.

Thank you for following up during your Sunday evening.

I've got reverse sense (obd connector routed) but still no steering wheel input. I think this 20 pin harness is to blame.

There should have been a connector that lines up with that

I looked on the chair I randomly use as a shelf and found it. I owe you a beer.

Its amazing to me how many cables out of that T01 harness kit are just unused. I figure close to 40% of that overstuffed wire harness isn't even in use, in my install. But hey now I can see individual TPMS pressures so, I'm still happy with it!
