toyota is looking into whether or not they want to just lemon my truck... per the general AREA manager for toyota i have the most extensive repair report on a "new" (6 years or newer) truck hes ever seen...

    head liners been replaced
    hood replaced
    leafs replaced twice
passanger door makes howling noise been worked on x2 needs to be looked at a 3rd
drives seat fell apart and had to be replaced
trans fluid way low caused some grinding... toyota filled but over tightened and broke gasket causing my truck to loose almost 3quarts before i noticed and took it in.
rear diff low caused a horrible grinding noise for almost 2 weeks before toyota said they check fluid level... they did it was 1+ quart low.
truck started sagging on left side buy almost 1.5 inches\
truck has a problem getting into drive on cold (65 degrees f or lower) it will take upward of 5 seconds to catch
truck had a horrible squeak in reverse found bad bushing in body mounts
    LCA's howl
steering wheel will move every so often on start up (has moved 3 time in past 6 months) without moving the wheels... the streering wheel is now crooked because of this (about 15-20 degrees of to the right....

and theirs a few more thing i just can remember...

so hopefully i can get a new one! love the truck just not this one

all my friends with the 3rd gen have no issues. as for liking fruits lol the odds of getting another one with issue is slim but if its a lemon i will re think another brand. i had a 14 trd sport 4x4 before this that was awesome.

I had a 12 and 14 that were both great, but this is a totally different truck.

OP .... what are the chances you get another POS Tacoma? I'd go for it bro - tell the dealer you want a PRO for all the hassle and time spent dealing... just sayin!

Cement and get a manual this time ... FTW!

Its getting bad, Im almost broke.
At this point if they dont, I would hire an attorney and make them. I Sure love my taco, but at only 1500 miles i am nervous as hell that after i dump 8k in accesories into it, it's gonna take a shit on me. I'm thinking i may drive it about 6 more months before a spend any more on it just in case.

Well you got beat dude, I asked about a trade in and the sales guy said sure but i know i will have to dig in my pocket so i will keep my Taco and just do the lift upgrade, headlights, and the TRD airflow and just keep taking it in when something comes apart.

Question why did they replace the leaf springs?

I am at 6200 here, no issue except for squeaky leafs that may or may not be from me off roading a little too hard once or twice, still perform great, they just squeak. Bought it in May, I wont get rid of this truck until it falls apart. Doing a 3k mile trip this winter, not worried at all.

Yes, I've seen it happen twice with one customer in the past. This woman had leather seats, she was 350+ pounds and about 5'2". She kept breaking the seam on the side lower cushion sliding in and out. These seats were not made for something that heavy. The car was less than a year old.

Odinsbro, have you taken pics of all this along with the documentation from the dealership?
