a while back my horn kind of crapped out on my 01 tacoma, it not just makes a pathetic little "toot" and sounds like it should be on some barbie car....i have always assumed some water or mud ruined it because i was doing a lot of off-roading at the time it started this or that it just died...
anyone out there know if i can fix this or i need to get a new one?

Id just upgrade to a Hella or something for the 30 bucks. Itll be louder and take less time then trying to figure out whats wrong with yours.

Definitely replace it. You could go with Hella or Autozone would have something closer to what you have now for right around $15. Installation consist of 1 bolt and 1 wiring harness and takes like 2 minutes.

Just go get a few horns off a Cadillac out of the junkyard like I did. Cost all of 8 bucks.

i have no idea if its the horn or relay...it still works, just sounds pathetic and only audible to bystanders 10ft away
