They are just clipped on. I pryed mine off with a screw driver, easily reinstalled if needed.

I actually have a jeep now. Imagine that.
its worth doing it. whether it makes it louder or not, its too easy to not do it.

none except for crappy hub caps and floor mats.
Do what I did: Go to a local junk yard and get one off an old truck or older car. I paid $5 for mine and it took 5 minutes to stick in there.

When I relocated my horns under the hood (on the sidewall near the battery) when I installed my Grill Craft, I took the covers off and they sound plenty loud enough to me....

    Reading with Baffles on: 126db

    Baffles off: 126db

I figured removing the baffles would not make a difference in the db level. perhaps it is the change in tone that makes it seem louder.

Or buy a pair of Hella Supertones...as an ex Subaru guy, they are easy to wire in, and are nice and loud!

Agreed. I have Supertones in my Impreza and never have a problem with people not hearing them.

Haven't even tried the horn on my Tacoma yet, but if I'm not happy with it, I'd buy Hellas in a heartbeat.
