horrible gas milage

    Back when I had my 2.7L (and was a young snot-nosed kid) I installed factory Toyota plugs and didn't gap them because the knuckle-head at the counter said "don't gap them, they come pre-gapped."

    My truck kicked, sputtered, and farted when I started it.

    I pulled a plug back out and checked the gap, I don't remember specifics now, but it was about 50% off. I gapped it, reinstalled it and did the others. It ran fine.

    Since then, I have never trusted "pre-gapped" plugs.

    881 Front coils, Bilstien 5100's all the way front set to "0" Icon Dynamic's mini leafs in rear, stock tires.
    I am with this poster^^^ I never trust pre gaped. Thats like a used car salesman saying trust me!

    Mine is a V6 auto with a TRD supercharger, MPG was better even with th SC.

    Was on Taco when I purchased
