    I just got a quote for a 3" lift:

    King Performance Front Coilovers
King 2.5" Smooth Body Rear Shocks
    Total Chaos UCAs

    around $2800 for everything shipped

I may get an AAL later on depeding on how it looks with this setup. I am also going to get the TRD FJ 16" wheels in gunmetal soon.

Figured I would ask this here instead of another thread... I am new to this.

So, there are several different ways to get a lift done from what I understand, some more expensive than others...

One would be to just get front and back blistein 5100 shocks.
Another is to get AAL for the back and spaces for the front.
Last I saw is something like the ultimate lift kit on toytek.

Now, there is a big price difference between those methods, what is the advantage/disadvantage of each? I always figured you get what you pay for, is that true in this situation?

    Thanks!

Front 5100's can be adjusted incrementally from 0" lift up to 2.5" lift. Depends on where you set them when you assemble them.

    Rear 5100's provide no lift.

AAL's are fine. Most people avoid the big spacer lifts. They tend to make your truck ride like shit.

Buying coil lifts or adjustable coil lifts are the most recommended.

Yes, this is one of those times where you get what you pay for.

You can do a spacer lift for about $200. You can spend well over $1000 for fancy adjustable coil overs. You can assemble an excellent non adjustable coil lift in the mid price range.
