    See build thread.
A lot more than its worth. Want to get your power back then you gotta ditch the heavy ass tires. IMHO.

if its 1st gen you could do the deck plate mod. use the search feature on the top right and you will find lots of different HP increasers

Mostly stock for now, I have added a cb radio, various cheap mods and I plan on adding aftermarket wheels and other items in the future.
I'm confused, are you wanting to increase horsepower, or torque; or both?

If you're wanting torque you can change out the gearing in the diff. If it's more horsepower you want, or both, drop a supercharger in.

Not much you can do for a 4 cylinder, except a lot of little things that can add small amounts of HP here and there.
If you want safe reliable horsepower, supercharger is the way to go; but is expensive.

yeah, from what I've seen, the TRD supercharger runs around $4K.
If you get it now, then look back 5 yrs from now, you won't regret it.
I bet you'll end up spending more in little performance/cosmetic mods that won't get you half of the hp/tq that a supercharger will. Plus, Toyota made one specifically for our trucks so you even get a warranty if a dealer installs it!

    just my $.02

Depending on the size tires you are running, You can re gear. Cost would be about $1200.00 for front and rear. That would give the most bang for the buck.

Wait a minute.... TRD only makes a supercharger for the 4.0, correct? Or have they finally released one for the 2.7 and I just haven't found out about it yet?

What are you using your Taco for? If it's a street cruzin' mall crawling machine, then I understand the want for more HP. But off-road, the 2.7 will do just about everything that you want. Keep it or trade it for a 6 cylinder.

I know the power gains arent anything crazy especially for our small engines but...has anyone with the 2.7 changed their underdrive pulley? If so what benefits have you gained from doing so?
