At 6'6" my eyes are level with the top of the windshield and headliner. I can't see stop lights most of the time without ducking. With the truck being a 6 speed, there's only so much adjusting I can do :/

I have the electric seats my head just touches the interior. This didn't happen on the previous truck I had with non electric seats. I am honestly thinking about seeing if I could buy a second passenger seat (which is not electric) and putting it in on the driver side.

Anyone have any idea if that's doable? I don't mind loosing the electric seat controls.

Hello, my current situation is that the clearance of the door is too low which makes me bend my head too much - its killing me. I am looking to be able to lower it - at least an inch.
Also, i thought about looking for new seats with a lowering option (manual or electric).
    Any ideas?

    Check build thread!
In motocross we sometimes shave down the padding on the seat, or replace it with thinner but firmer material to achieve a shorter seat height for FMX stuff, or to fit a shorter rider. Wonder if the same is possible with a Tacoma seat?

I have not investigated the mechanism, but I could swear that when I ran the seat all of the way back, down, and then forward a bit, it ended up lower.

    Anyone else find this?

What model is your truck? FYI the Offroad package seats seat cushion is firmer and one inch thicker than the SR5.

Seriously, THIS is the main problem I've noticed with our 2007 Tacoma access cab. The seat is fine for me at 6 1 height, but I have to bend my neck and body at a weird angle to get in. I don't think it's solvable because that's how the cab is designed. I'm going to compare to my friends 2014 double cab here soon.

The top of the doors don't open into the roof which is common on alot of vehicles, even my 93 pickup the doors open up top into the roof.
