I can't get over how little space they have inside despite being sizable vehicles. There probably isn't another vehicle that is as space inefficient as a Wrangler.

I just don't see Jeep taking a lot of midsize truck buyers from the rest of the competition. I don't think they'll offer anything better than another midsize other than offroad-ability. And in that category, for what I do, the Tacoma suits me better... even offroad-wise

This is due to the cab being narrower than the wheel track. So while it may have a similar max width as a Tacoma the cab is noticeably narrower and smaller. This has significant off road advantages. The actual cab is pretty much a box, which is relatively space efficient for a vehicle.

Looks like Hummer. Unfortunately, as hard as I try to like the new Taco, it just isn't' right either...wouldn't say fugly, but I have seen about 5 in person...at first they looks stunning, but then the out of proportion front-end sets in.... So maybe the next few years with be the time of the 'fugly' midsize. lol

If production is approved it won't lose payload capacity over the international version.

The international jeeps have more payload than American jeeps?

I was talking about the Ranger and relating it to how somethings are being downgraded as they become more and more in town type vehicles. Ranger is supposed to stay rugged, this new Jeep might not be as offroad friendly though.

The bed is terrible looking, looks like a ridgeline had a baby with an H3T. Fortunately that is entirely aftermarket and no way related to Jeeps production design.
