How close is your UCA?

After installing your lift, how close is your UCA to the inside of your tire?

 

Stock or aftermarket i would have to go measure.

 

just measured a little over 2 1/4" here, both sides.

 

Well, I still have stock UCA's but when the wheels are straight it is about 1/2" away from the tire. It just seems really close.

 

Can't run tire chains..

 

Guess I should of added this, I am running TC UCA's.
16X8 wheels, 285/75-16 tires. BFG M/T's

 

Before i put the wheel spacers on, i couldnt fit my index finger between them.. and i got skinny hands...

 

How did the spacers affect your vehicle? Positives/Negatives?

 

Pros:
Wider Stance looks bitchin
Improved cornering
Tires don't rub UCA while turning, offroading

Cons:
Expensive

 

Did it affect your mpg or do they wear on any mechanical parts more?

 

I haven't measured my mpg at all, but i dont see how it could affect it. same thing with the wear. it's basically just an extension. i guess there's more of a chance of you breaking a wheel stud but you'd really have to beat it up for that to happen. I've mobbed offroad pretty hard on these so far with no issues.

 

The space that people have will vary quite a bit. The backspacing and tire size will make a difference. Also even the same tire size, but different makes or models of the tire will probably vary a little. Is there a specific tire size or lift size you would like to know? People might be able to help you out better if so.

 

Well, I only have 1/2" of space between my tire and the UCA tip. So, I am considering adding a spacer. Fat Bob's has a 1/4" spacer but that isn't much and I have seen some 1" ones on Ebay. Just not sure. I am NOT rubbing the tire but if the terrain gets too rugged......??

 

Spidertrax are the best from what i hear. I will be getting those.

 

If you can turn to full lock going left and right- You'll be fine without a spacer.

 

I could turn full lock left and right w/o rubbing originally, but when my suspension would flex while offroading they would rub the uca.

 

Fair enuf...What kind of clearance did you have @ full lock and regular stance??

 

cant recall to be honest with you. i didn't even know they were rubbing right away, i didn't feel anything. but the marks on the uca's prove otherwise
