I am mounting an antenna on the hood and wonder how you guys with ham/cb ran your coax into the cab. I searched and saw threads about running cable through the grommet where the main fuse box is, but my coax is already built up with ends, and that grommet looks too tight. The one under the cab, on the driver side rail looks like a possibility. What have you done or seen?

If it’s anything like running a wire for an aftermarket backup camera, look up “Greenlee snake”; Absolutely ingenious tool!

I think I'm going to have to pull the grommet in the firewall and cut a slit in it. With the grommet removed, I should be able to push the factory wires aside more easily to push the connector through. Then I can pull the coax through, reinstall the grommet, and spooge it all up so it doesn't let water in. I'll have to run power through there as well, but those wires are pretty thin.
