So I got an email back from another dealership has two TRD Pro's on their lot. A corporate shuttle car (it has 7000 miles) and a new 2016 with no miles. This dealership wants $2000 over MSRP for the new one, and $700 under MSRP for the "used" one. They told me the one with 7000 miles is still "new" because it has never been titled. 7000 miles is 7000 miles and not new. I said yeah no thanks to both "offers".

PVT Pablo, I just ordered my Trail Premium yesterday, my dealer(Dowling Toyota in Lichfield, CT) has a super white 2016 Pro coming in which he offered me but I want KDSS and the pro doesn't come with that option. If you are interested, you might try calling them to see if it's spoken for yet. I know its a bit of a drive for you but they are a great dealership to work with. Ask for Pat, he is the only salesman, it's a small dealership which I like. No affiliation, just a happy customer.

Best of luck and thank you for your service!

    Cheers, James

Thank you for the lead! I'll have to see what this dealership I'm in contact with but if they give me some crap I may just hit up your dealership. It would give me a good excuse to see New York.

4Runner located. Financing approved. Calling the dealership to hold it tomorrow. It ended up being a 2016 4Runner TRD Pro in quicksand. The dealer is sending over the spec sheet tomorrow as well. Super excited!

Everything is complete except it arriving on the truck and me picking it up. Here's the beast.

We don't see Pros in Canada, either Tacomas or T4R. I heard that they will be offered here, though. looking at the photo of that T4R, it looks to be sitting pretty low. Tacoma Pros have about an extra 1.75" on them. What's "Pro" about the T4R?

I'm super pumped! I gotta remember that its for my wife, not for me haha.

Those pictures on the spec sheet I posted aren't the best angle. The T4R Pro is an inch taller in the front over the T4R Trail. So on top of the Trail Premium package, you get...

    Nitto Terra Grappler 265/75/17 Tires
    TRD 17" Wheels
    TRD Bilstein 2.5" front coilovers
TRD Bilstein 2.0" rear resi shocks
    TRD shift knob
    TRD 1/4" aluminum skid plate
Driver and Passenger heated, automatic adjustable seats
    Unique TRD Pro grille
    TRD Pro floor mats

Yes I know that all of that stuff could be added on for less, but the vehicle is for my wife. I wanted to get her something that she can have, that's factory built. She doesn't like working on her own rig like I do, and she already said I'm not wrenching on it haha.

That must of killed you on the inside. The past month or so has been the biggest struggle convincing my wife. Even at the Toyota dealership we test drove a 4Runner, and she saw a Yaris that she thought was cute and wanted to drive that as well. Both the salesman and I were like

The minivan really IS more practical for our family. But sucks balls compared to a 4Runner. We actually had it narrowed down to a pearl white 4Runner Limited and a Black TRD Pro 4Runner. And..... We left with a gray minivan.

Haha it happens. I went to Costco the other day for a family size bag of chips for a party and walked out with a $1,000 dining table through no choice of my own. Hopefully that minivan was spec'd out with every possible option. I told my wife if she bought the Jeep Renegade I was using all the money we saved instead of buying the 4Runner on plate bumpers and superchargers. She didn't enjoy that of course.

Step 2 Completed! My wife's Dodge Nitro has been sold. Now we just have to wait for the dealership to call us and say that the 4Runner has been delivered to the dealership.

    Bye bye Nitro!

Four days until we pick up the T4R Pro. Got a text from the dealership saying they are prepping it now with pictures fresh off the truck. So stoaked!

I convinced my wife we got a custom white hood. She was livid and didn't understand why I picked that haha

If anyone in the Washington area is still looking for a trd pro , Toyota of puyallup has a white , and grey one arriving in the next 2 weeks that are currently unspoken for. If you call them to reserve ask for
Lou . I pick my quick sand up from him next weekend :)
