I am sure this has been asked and answered before. My 2018 TRD 4x4 has the locking axle that can only be activated in 4LO. I’d like to activate it when I need it, not when the designers in Japan think I should use it.
If there is a thread that can help me I’d really appreciate someone pointing me to it.
Thanks in advance for your help.
    Rick

There is no simple elegant solution (per my definition of elegant) for 3rd gen 2wd trucks.

If you feel comfortable hacking or doing your own wiring mod, its 'easily' doable.

Those referenced threads (above) describe the methods you can use to do it... the 2 lo harness is recommended to roll your own plug and play version.

Please note and consider the risks before continuing. There will be no speed lockout (preventing your kid from locking it at 70mph on a corner on the interstate). There is no ABS disable like Toyota does with their locker.
