^ Looked at your pics! So the front is wider than the back tires? I want an even stance all throughout. I like the wideness of the front of your tire stance.

Opps. 265/70R17 Yokohama Geolander AT-S. Their website says these tires are okay for 8-9" rims.

I'd also like to keep a wider vs. narrower stance. I'm guessing it's better to stick with a close as possible to the -12mm offset and 4.5 backspacing. All the wheels I like are out of stock or out of production.

The 4.5" backspacing is the key. The offset will change for a given backspacing, depending on the width.

    To review then:

I'm looking at the Ultra Rouge wheels with these specs.

    17x8 4 7/8 BS +10 Offset 108 hub bore.

    Yokohama Geolander AT-S. 17x9. 265/70R17

Will this come too close to the UCAs or present other problems? Will this set up be more inboard then the stocks?

17x8 or 9? You say both in that post.

No uca probes with either. The 8s will stick out 1.5" more than stock. The 9's will stick out 2.5" more.

Correction. Silly why I put a width on the tires. Typo.

The rims are 17x8. I'm still confused though. So, they'll be sticking out more even though they're a +10 offset? I thought the negative offset stick out more.

Negative offsets stick out more, but these will stick out more than stock because the stockers are something like +38 offset.

Oh, so with a BS of close 4.5" anything with an offset less than +38 will stick out more than stock, correct? Like -12 or +10.

Backspacing and offset are directly related. They are not independent of one another.

That's what I thought, since they're both based on the hub. Thanks again for the info and your time in explaining.
