At malls etc, pull through 90% of the time, otherwise pull in. At my apartment I back in because it's too tight to pull in with one shot.

Sometimes they are concerned about the exhaust staining a wall, building, or killing landscaping, sometimes it's air intakes for the building ventilation (rather than marking one or two spaces they just tag the whole lot).

Funny though, but I think hot radiators cause more landscape damage than exhaust.
I'm going to have a fun time with my new job.
    Parking is head-in only.
The parking permit is to be hung from the mirror.... REVERSED so the parking control cops can see it from the back of the car.

Ya right... pickup with a shell, even without tinted windows, they're going to get out to look at it until they get used to seeing the truck.

Too much to list, but enough to get me in trouble. Repeatedly.
Nosing in is for douchebag 4wheelers.
Pulling through is for lazy retirees who don't know what that little "R" means on their RV gearshift.
Backing in is for people who know their shit.

*Note: "4wheelers" is Trucker for "vehicle with fours wheels on the ground" and has nothing to do with the number of wheels that receive engine power.

It really depends on if I'm in a rush or not, or just if I'm feeling lazy

Nearly always back in or find a spot where I can pull thru. Mostly comes from driving stuff like panel vans and box trucks at work. Can't see crap backing out, so procedure is always to block traffic, look at where you will be backing, then back in. Eliminates douchbags running into you while trying to back out.

I don't have the blind spot issue with my personal truck, but I'm beyond sick and tired of all the asshats who say "me first, you wait" and drive around backing vehicles. That attitude only works if I can see you, dumbass! So I make them wait while I line it up and back in. That way if they drive around me, at least I am moving AWAY from them instead of TOWARDS them.

One of our guys at work told me he pulled in forward with the window-less E250. He backed out, and suddenly had a pissy bitch at his window going on about how he almost hit her. She was walking, and basically decided to play chicken with him and had to jump out of the way. I think I've convinced him to back in from now on. He still thinks people are courteous in this (relatively) small town. I stopped believing that lie a long time ago.

Whether I back in or pull in depends on the spot.

I pick my spot based on how easy it is to get out of it.

I normally do both. I'll get lucky sometimes where both sides of the parking spots are open and I'll just slip in on the other side.. Very rare in slanted parking lots, but it has happened.

I always back in whenever possible. So much safer getting out when people are in such a rush driving past you.

With the exception of slanted spots, I find that it's harder for me to park in a stall head first and that goes for when I'm driving smaller cars too.
