    I live by one rule:

Only possess what you can pay to own outright.

If I can't pay in full at the time of purchase, I don't buy. This means everything including vehicles and homes.

In my current build, I have a rule. If i sell it off the truck, I pit that money back into it. Although that is kinda needed at my level.

I will admit I've used credit to purchase a few mods here and there but it's nothing that exceeds over what I can't pay with a single paycheck. My credit is fair and the one account I do have for credit has a 6 month no interest on most purchases. I also do not have a physical card for the account so I cannot buy just anything I want with it. With that said, however, 100% of my larger purchases have always been with cash. Tires, wheels, suspension, armor, drivetrain - all cash. My personal rule for credit is I don't buy anything on credit I can't afford with one or two paychecks, even with the 6 month no interest. If I feel I can't pay it off in a month, I don't use credit. This also involves being aware of all my future bills.

Credit. I get points for gift cards and one of my cards pays for my school loan as I use it. I do not buy anything I dont have cash in the bank for. Cards are paid off every month. Helps with the credit score as well
