I've read somewhere on this forum of using gorilla glue but I like to be able to remove mine sometimes for cleaning.

    Lots baby!
    This is on a 2nd Gen X-Runner.

I used the d-rings to hold down the bed mat.

    BedLightsII020_zps652f0a11_b81379a14650345cc03723a809f7b567d7c074e8.jpgBedLightsII021_zps05633af3_ab036cc5805ca3c900d7accf7e497e7a96d75eef.jpg

If you want to make a clean hole in the mat for the bolt to go through, use a soldering iron. The heat will make a nice clean hole in the carpet-like bed mat.

I asked for this, I'm very entertained at this point. Maybe I should ask for the most ridiculous wrong answer.

The factory bed mat is fine doing 80 on the interstate, only time it blew out was at the car wash in going through the blowers. It blew the bed mat right out of the truck smacked the back of the cab on the way out. I'll give the industrial velcro a try. I got love bugs to deal with.

Great for locking down items with a cable lock in your bed.

Yep. Not interested in having the paint issues from letting a robot finger fuck my car.

Get yourself one of those pickup bed pools, fill it with salt water and sharks with fricken' laser beams...that bed mat ain't going anywhere.

    Somewhere hot, flat and brown.
As opposed to all that high pressure air blowing around from…driving?

Andre’s getting a raw deal there, only a hand wash will properly get all the nooks and crannies.

Saw those at the local walmart last week.... If I thought the tacoma bed could handle more than a few bags of wood chips I would totally get one.

You would be surprised how well the triple wax foam opens up the pores. Plus Andre likes the pina colada scent. His wife prefers New Car, though.

On mine there was a hole through the bed at the front center (below the sliding rear window).

I drilled a hole in the mat and ran a bolt with a wide flat washer down through that and put a wingnut on the underside for easy removal.
I figured that would keep it from moving much and also discourage the less dedicated thieves.

I have the OEM mat and that thing weighs 30 pounds, I'll have to watch next time and see if it moves.

I see what you mean... But big difference between air flowing around the truck than directly on top and pushing down. And the third brake light is already known for leaking.
