This is my first truck and I have never tow'ed anything before. I am about tow a CIVIC on an auto transported behind the truck. Now do I have to put the truck in Part time 4WD or keep it in 2WD ? Also what else I need to keep in mind before I tow.

If I remember correctly, the tow dolly doesn't have brakes of it's own. You can exceed your vehicles brake rating without trailer brakes leading to brake fade and failure.
I would check with U-haul. They have a handy list of vehicle capabilities for tow dollies.
