After I swapped my front end I can’t shift into 4wd with stock case. I’m pretty sure that I have to ground out the neutral from the front diff sensor and possibly ground out the front abs sensors too and tie positives in with the rear? Anyone have any experience with this and or a diagram of wiring?

There might be something in the fj case swap thread. Let us know what you find.

    either do it two ways.
    1. get rid of stock case and put an fj case in.
    2. plug the front add actuator back in and just have it tied up somewhere to do "its job" of shifting.

at least those are the quick easy ways. im sure you could wire in a relay or something to the ADD plug and get it to act like its there.

I installed an FJ case in my last build and that was just great but this time I went with dual cases and I don't like the look of a hacked-up center console with twin sticks off the fj through the cup holder and front shifter through the pencil holder slot. I didn't want to mess with rerouting the ebrake mechanism that is in the way for duals with an FJ case. I have to take a look under my rig. I don't remember what I did but most likely I cut the port completely off not thinking about what I would need to do later down the line.

if you did go with the fj case, I wouldn't do twin sticks if you have a crawl box. just makes that shit redundant for no reason. need 2 lo, just put the crawl box in gear.

but other than that, the only way I know of is putting the add actuator back on but sounds like that's not an option unless u get a new connector for it

Yes, twins would be pointless with the dual case setup. I have some diagrams to look into. I will figure this out sooner or later.

I decided I'm going just going to turn my stock electronic case into a manual case using a transmission shift cable and shift lever. It will be really easy I just need to make sure it looks clean. needs to be as clean as my dual case shifter

I decided to order an advance adapters cable shifter kit and rig it all together. I’ll take photos when it’s finished.

I pulled off my electronic tcase shifter module this evening. It has about 2-2.25” of throw to shift from 2w to 4h and 4lo. The advance adapters shift cable kit doesn’t have enough throw on it to work…I am going to try and modify it or call them and ask if it’s possible to make a cable with 2.25” of movement.

This is exactly what i did on my truck while i wheeled it waiting for the Atlas case. I pretty sure I used a shifter cable mechanism from a chevy or something standard. Built a stand off on the back of the case for the cable to mount too and then fabbed up a "shifter" in the cab. Worked really well while it was on there.

I made some progress on the shifter setup. It throw is less than I thought. About 1.25-1.5”. I need to make the connection at the tcase and it will be finished.

I bought the advance adapters 4 speed shift kit and it comes with the shift lever, housing, cable and other parts. The cable throw distance isn’t long enough so I used another one which is kind of shitty. I cut the end off the advance adapters cable and welded it to one of the ends of the other cable. I had to make the brackets which I mounted on the ebrake bolts under the center console. There are a ton of ways to rig it. The end results will be the same. I cut and bent the shift lever to clear the center console. I’ll post some pics of the whole thing later.

The way that I did it I had to remove my inverter which is located under the center console. With the right cable setup you could probably keep it in that location. I’ll probably put it inside my center console.

That would be good. I would need to extend the wire harness a bit.

I will. I still need to make the connection to the shift rail at the tcase.
