4 large Toyota dealers within 20 minutes of my home in Rochester but drove 144 miles to Watertown to get the only Pro I could find! Buffalo dealers (70 miles away) had 2 black ones but I was sold on Cavalry blue. After reading all the posts on the rarity and overcharging, I feel pretty damn lucky that I got exactly what I wanted so close. Timing, with a little bit of luck, is everything!

Good to know. I bought my truck in AZ and was under the impression that a smog wasn’t necessary in all 50 states. I have yet to transfer to CA because I was waiting for something in the mail to take to the DMV. The other day I got a piece of paper in the mail from a third party registration service that the dealer used. I called them and they said that’s what I show the CA DMV because AZ is a no title state when it comes to vehicles with a lien. Hopefully it goes smoothly!

I went 900 miles from Tampa area to Memphis. Finding a DC TRD OR was hard and dealers that had them up-charged the hell out of it. Memphis had a few dealers with tons of them on lot.

I didn't have a good experience with the dealership 10 minutes away so I drove a little over 20 minutes away. I take it there for the warranty work as well as they have fixed every complaint I've had with no pushback.

Waited a few months for TRD 6MT. Had two local dealers compete and got the price I wanted.

Car registration in MI with a vehicle purchased out of state is a hell. After going through this craziness with previous vehicle, decided to buy in state and take the waiting pill.
