ATRAC whoring has been cleaned out. It has absolutely nothing to bring to the table in this thread, so leave it be. You know who you are. Not only is it not needed for this thread, it is also an annoyance to the other members that don't care to see it. Don't try to say it's for the posterity of other members that may read it as it's been posted in this forum eleventy billion times.

LSD's require no user input. Lockers do (it's a button, not really that hard, though).

If you mainly drive on the street and need extra traction for driving in the snow, etc... get an LSD, but if you will be off-roading with it, get a selectable locker. If you're going to be taking the 3rd apart anyway, you might as well go for the locker (TRD ftw!!). The TRD E-lockers are great because, one, they come stock on TRD Tacos, but they also don't require an air source like many after market lockers do.

yeah but it isnt a straight swap unless you modify you axle housing which is what I was trying to avoid. With the LSD I can take out my open diff and put the LSD in, just un-bolt and re-bolt

Take your truck out and drive it, man.

You'll find out quick enough where you have trouble and where you don't.

Eventually you'll take a strap from the guy in front of you, and that's OK.

Then you can judge from experience how much time and money you want to throw into traction aids.
