    I've got about a 2" lift on my truck and the alignment specs don't look too far off from yours (had it done twice after the lift.) The only problem I have is on roads that are grooved from studs and chains the truck sometimes tracks to the right or left depending on where I am on the road. On freshly paved roads the truck tracked straight. I didn't want to put out the money for new upper control arms so thought I'd play around a bit with the tire pressure for dealing with the ruts. Adding a few pounds seemed to help.

    here is mine from today, what do you think of this? it looks like the chamber was better when they started and got worse but they got the caster and toe better. so is this all because of the lift with stock UCA? if i run it this way what will happen? it does drive good for the 10 miles i drove it home. this was done at my Toyota dealership, i had it done also the first time (2 weeks ago) when i got the lift.

    General question on these specs. Should these specs (2.4 caster, 0.0 camber and toe) apply to all Tacomas, or just those lifted 2-3"+ ?

    Reason I ask is that I had the TSB rear springs installed on my 09 a few months ago, and Toyota aligned it. I then installed the 5100s at .85 lift, but haven't had it aligned yet. Do the specs above apply to my truck, or is standard spec sufficient.

    Be gentle with me, I'm definitely not an alignment literate poster child.

    some places have "guarantees" on their alignments. check and see if they'll take another shot at it without charging you. i think it is pretty close to as good as it gets unfortunately. they could get camber at 0.0*, but then that throws your caster way off, and vise versa. I just ordered a set of LR UCAs, i'm in the same boat as you. i went with a 2.5 in lift hoping i wouldn'd need UCAs. had i known i would need them, i would have gone 3in. oh well, i'm happy with the 2.5...for now ;)

    EDIT: just fyi, there should be a [/quote] at the end of what you're quoting to make it apear right

    Look at the left & right camber on your data sheet, not the cross-camber in the middle. Camber l&r is 1.2 from your original data sheet.

    it really depends on what they considder an issue. your alignment is within factory spec, which they considder good...but it is not ideal.

    Why does everyone say ideal would be (2.4 caster, 0.0 camber and toe)
    and mine is no where near that and my camber is way off?
    im just so confused by all this.
    i might just take it to the dealer and have them align it rather than going back to Goodyear ( who did this one)

    my specs are:
    caster = 1.4
    camber = .7
    toe = .02
    (specs are the same on the other side +/- .02)

    those are all within spec, but the low caster gives me a vibration in the steering wheel from 60-65 mph, and after only about 5000 miles (i need to rotate my tires now) i can see slight wear on the outside edges of the tires from the off camber.

    within spec means you can drive it without any major problems, but little ones (vibes or abnormal tire wear) may occure.

    i am just going to order new UCA, i stayed up all night reading and this morning to! i am going to lose my job if i do not stop trying to read all the info i can on this.
    my truck looks funny (because of the camber) and i am worried about tire wear. i rub more now then i did before i had the alignment redone.

    Thanks for posting that. I get it a little better now. So if I try to achieve better camber i will sacrifice the Caster I have or do they affect each other?

    Take a look at the newest TSB for the rear leafs. At the end of the doc, well half-way through, it documents the Toyota alignment specs, and the last few pages or so show the adjustments and a graph/table to figure out what needs to be done to the cams to get to spec.

    If I read this right there are 2 adjustments (like I said, I'm not alignment literate,,, yet) for toe and camber. Caster is set by the interaction of these two adjustments. The graph I assume is to help you with how to adjust the toe and camber cams to get all 3 set in range.

    Tell the alignment shop to set your toe and camber to zero and then get the most caster that they can achieve without affecting the camber.
