It all depends on how you treat them. some last a long time, and I have seen some dead by 20k miles.

My Sr5 Tokicos were dead at 20k miles, I didn't like the ride so I replaced them with the TRD Bilsteins . Bilsteins are firmer and absorb the bumps better, a better shock overall IMO. I'm at 50k miles now and they still feel great. As for the HDs anyone that uses them, how do you rate them on comfort ?

My stock tokicos on my '02 Prerunner were good for about 50k miles. I added the Bilsteins after that and they seem to have went south in 20k miles. I hope the ones on my '10 last longer than that but if they don't I'll go with some better shocks on down the road.

Since I rarely get off of rough gravel roads, my base shocks (i'm guessing now) could last 75k or more, who knows. You can bet I researched those 5100s though, if the stocks do break.

:D what if the manual said "hey dude" your shock are gonna break at xxxxx miles and you bat'ry gonna die at xxxx miles.

...umm how long will my seat rail go before I have to lube it? what weight oil? Dyno or synthetic? Will "toy odor" warranty this brand? Wilson the Dog HEEELLP! lol
