How long did you have to wait for your 2021 factory order?

my truck is supposed to be on a truck to dealer now. Then teuck to me

I am so tempted to get on a flight and drive it back. I got vaccine shot 1, still have another one

so am worried to get on flight thus waiting by the door instead ....

Ordered November, they said 6 to 8 weeks, came in at 5 weeks.
CCSB 6 mt, TRD OR. no options. Central Wisconsin.

 

Yup, had to put down $500 deposit to order it.

 

I wouldn’t worry about that. Like I mentioned before, I work on the assembly line here in Kentucky, and no matter what day it is, quality is the same, because we go through hell if something’s not right. They hold you responsible for what you did wrong (wrong part, missing part, paint scratch, etc.). And they have cameras all over the line, so they can go back and see what you did when you made that mistake.
The Japanese are serious when it comes to what we build, that’s why Toyota has the reputation for reliability that they have.

 

That was my experience ordering a 2020 a year ago down in Texas. Gave the deposit in Oct 2019, but it wasn't until Jan 2020 that the distributor even approved the allocation, then it was scheduled to be built in March, then April, then May..... ended up moving to CA in June before it was built and got my deposit back. Gulf States Toyota doesn't seem to care much about special requests.

The 2021 I ordered in December was scheduled to have been built this past week. Gonna email the dealer in the morning to check on status.

do Chrysler not have cameras in their factories ? All the employees seem to smoke up on the news stories - and quality is junk

 

If they do, their quality standards are definitely not as stringent as ours, because I have a Challenger (my toy) and I wasn't impressed with it qualitywise.
But since I bought it with the intent of modifying it..................

Just got the email From dealer:


“Good news, your truck should be here this afternoon or tomorrow I believe!”

 

Got the toyota Connect setup before truck arrives at dealer.

build date was 1/8/21 - hopefully my Friday truck is reliable

 

ordered mine in November...got a call from the dealer today. Good news, its here this week. Bad news, damaged in transit. Offered to fix it or I am going to have to go to the back of the line and start all over again, wait 2+ months

 

God I hope that doesn’t happen to me!

Its here....no pics but I did see it today, minor tailgate damage. New tailgate will be installed (no charge obviously) and we should be good to go
