    Until it either

    1) It no longer meets our needs (towing)
    2) Repair costs exceed value

So, hopefully a very long time! So far it has 60k on it already and the only issue being the infuriating blower tick! But, we got the "new" blower motor and so far so good!

Same here. I got 12 years out of my last truck (Mazda B-3000), and fully expect to get the same or more out of this one.

I'll sell mine and get a 3rd gen once it's into the 2nd or 3rd year of production.....give them time to work any bugs out.

At least until: it's paid off, AND: I have a reason to need a full back seat, or I really want 4wd.

...until its paid off and then a couple more years... unless the 3rd gen comes with a manual trans that has a longer sixth gear and shifts more smoothly.

(I still miss my 02 regular cab 2.7 with the 5 speed--best vehicle I've ever owned, even compared to my old 85 4-runner.

I have had mine for about 4 1/2 years now but will keep it for many more years unless it gets totaled in an accident or starts having freakishly expensive repair bills happen to it on a regular basis. But I only put on the truck about 6k a year in miles so I doubt any of that will happen. The truck is babied and is taken care of very well. When my youngest son who turns 9 next week gets his drivers license, I will probably give him this truck or at the very least let him use it. I will then possibly look at getting myself something else then. Our daughter will also get her license in about 5 more years so she will probably get the wifes car and the wife will get something new then. I'm hoping by then my house should be paid off and new vehicles won't be a lot more expensive than they are right now. My house was only 83k but the prices of vehicles is getting quite ridiculous now! Used cars look better and better each day.

Im keeping my 05 until i literally cant drive it any more. Bought it with 43k on it in 2010, now has just over 78k due to military moves, but still runs and looks great, absolutely love my truck

A couple years, then I'll probably get a new one. although I had my 89 v6 5sp until 245k miles. So I might keep this one that long too.
